Your Daily Smile: Day 3

written by Brittany October 8, 2018
Great for unwinding after a long day at work, or helping erase occasional daily stresses. New MOOD is like a deep breath and a smile in a bottle.

Welcome to Your Daily Smile!

If you didn’t catch the Intro I posted explaining Your Daily Smile and why I’m doing it, you can check that out here. If you’re lazy like me and don’t feel like reading the intro, you can scroll past today’s smile for a quick summary.

Let’s switch it up and have a laugh today 🙂 Here’s a quick story from one of my favorite comedians:

I found this video on YouTube. Here’s the info listed there:

Why I’m sharing a Daily Smile

Basically I’ve been going in and out of a depression for several months. I wanted to contribute to Mental Illness Awareness Week, but felt like I needed a break from researching and writing about mental illness, because doing that kept sending me further into the depression.

So instead of adding another article on Mental Health to the mix, I decided why not give my readers a little break from the discussion each morning? I know I need a break from thinking about what feels broken, and maybe you do too.

And thus Your Daily Smile was born. I figured if I spent each morning searching for something uplifting and sharing it with you, we’d both get into the habit of starting our day with positivity. This would set a positive tone for the rest of our day. Then when we see all those posts about mental illness in our feeds this week, we’ll already be in a good headspace.

I hope this helps you as much as I think it will help me.

By the way…
I’m thinking about creating a 365 day email subscription for Your Daily Smile, so if you have anything you think I should share as a Daily Smile, I would love to check it out. Post it in the comments below, shoot me an email or contact me on social media.
